What's the Plan ?
Planning starts with the Corporate Strategy set by the CEO/MD. Here is how the goals will be achieved and the allocation of people, money and time to achieve the goals. The strategy must be based on research of your market, not just a simple wish to grow sales and increase profits. This should position the company in the market and set the direction for entire organisation to achieve the corporate objectives. A Corporate Strategy puts the company in the best position within the marketplace.
The senior leadership of an organisation is generally tasked with determining strategy. However, if your enterprise lacks strategic thinkers or you just don’t know how or where to start, Flow Exchange will work with you and your teams to produce the necessary strategy’s and challenge their viability at all steps along the way.
Product Realisation, Marketing, Sales (and HR) must then in turn have their own strategy to achieve that set out by the CEO and compliment those of other teams. Strategic Alignment occurs when there is a clear understanding of the corporate strategy and the interdependencies among the various functional strategies. Finally and most importantly, the linking of the internal strategies with external market conditions.
Strategic planning is not a one-size fits all. While the basic elements of a plan may be common to many companies, every company and its situation is different. You can not bring what you did at you last company and hope it works.
